Navigating the G2G App

Get to know the features, then scan and manage your assets with confidence.

The G2G App is your mobile tool for scanning, checking, and managing assets in the field. Whether you’re running a readiness check, doing a quick stocktake, or confirming a manifest, the app makes it fast and simple. This guide walks you through the main features so you can get the most out of G2G on the go.

Getting Started

  1. Power on your device using the button at the top of the RFID scanner.
  1. The device will go through a startup phase, showing a screensaver and SOTI software management screens.
  1. Once complete, the G2G App will open to the main navigation menu.

Inspect

The Inspect menu is where you can work with tags and assets.

  • To begin, select Scan Tags and pull the trigger on the RFID scanner gun.
  • Any nearby tags will appear. The closest tag shows at the top once you release the trigger.
  • Registered tags display their linked asset. Unregistered tags show their raw RFID number.

What you can do in Inspect:

  • See nearby tags and registered assets
  • Register new tags for assets or locations
  • Add or remove tags from existing assets or locations
  • Bulk-create assets
  • Edit asset details (e.g. name, custom fields)
  • View and complete forms attached to an asset

Supported tag types:

  • RFID
  • Bluetooth
  • QR code

Inventory Scan

Use Inventory Scan to run an Instant Stocktake or an Instant Manifest Check at a location.

  • Start by scanning the location tag.
  • For a Stocktake, the app shows all registered items in range.
  • For a Manifest Check, the app compares scanned items against the expected list for that location.
    • Items not scanned but expected still appear.
    • Extra items found are listed under Additional Items (this can be disabled in Settings).

At the top of the screen, you’ll see the total number of assets scanned. Once finished, you can save a Snapshot of your check and add notes for future reference.

⚠️ You must scan a location tag to use this function.
