RFID Tags

RFID tags give you reliable visibility across a wide range of assets. From metal cages, stillages, and trolleys, to pallets of any material, returnable plastic crates, IBCs, and tools in transit - each tag is designed to perform in real-world conditions.

On-Metal Tags

For metallic surfaces where standard RFID won’t work.

  • Best for: Drills, pipes, metal tools
  • Pros: Works reliably on metal, easy to spot
  • Cons: Bulkier than other tags

Small Non-Metal Tags

  • Best for: Small items with limited surface area
  • Pros: Fits almost anywhere
  • Cons: Shorter read range than large tags

Large Non-Metal Tags

  • Best for: Equipment with large flat surfaces
  • Pros: Long read range (10–20m), highly visible
  • Cons: Won’t adhere well to canvas (can be taped over)

Bluetooth Beacons

Battery-powered and versatile, Bluetooth Beacons can be detected by both fixed readers and the RFID Handheld Reader “Scanner Gun”. Built with BLE 5.0 technology, they’re tough, energy-efficient, and run for months or years without worry. Easy to attach and reliable indoors or outdoors, they keep gear visible and save teams time every day.

  • K15 – Compact, lightweight, good for small equipment and toolkits.
  • K4 – Larger format with stronger battery, better for assets that move often or need longer life.

GPS Trackers

GPS trackers give you reliable visibility for high-value assets that move — whether they’re on the road, in the yard, or out in the field. Each device is designed for different operating environments.

Barra GPS

A low-cost, battery-powered LTE-M / NB-IoT tracker. Provides GPS location with cell tower fallback, adaptive tracking, and up to 8 years of battery life. Best for pallets, trolleys, tools, bins, and other portable assets. Best for outdoor assets as there can be location drift when the Barra GPS is indoors.

Barra Edge

A compact, next-gen tracker with GPS, Wi-Fi access point scanning, and cell tower fallback. Runs on AA batteries for 10+ years (daily updates). Ideal for assets that move between indoor and outdoor environments.

Geoforce GT1

A rugged, satellite-based tracker built for extreme conditions. Zone 0 ATEX/IECEx certified, it offers global coverage and durability where cellular devices cannot operate.

Protecting Tags

For curved, dirty, or exposed surfaces, tags may need extra protection. Tape, wraps, or heat shrink can help secure them in place.

  • T-Rex Waterproof Tape – sticks to almost anything, waterproof & UV resistant, but not suitable for hot caustic washes.

⚠️ Avoid metallised tapes — they block RFID signals and reduce read range.

👉 Tip: Select your tag based on surface type, mobility, and asset value. For tailored advice, speak with your G2G Account Manager.
