The G2G App is your mobile tool for scanning, checking, and managing assets in the field. Whether you’re running a readiness check, doing a quick stocktake, or confirming a manifest, the app makes it fast and simple. This guide walks you through the main features so you can get the most out of G2G on the go.
Getting Started
- Power on your device using the button at the top of the RFID scanner.
- The device will go through a startup phase, showing a screensaver and SOTI software management screens.
- Once complete, the G2G App will open to the main navigation menu.
Manage Tags
The Manage Tags menu enables you to do anything you need to with your tags.
- Once you have selected this menu options you will see the prompt to Scan Tags.
- Pull the trigger on the RFID scanner gun to start any nearby tags.
- The closest tag will show at the top once you release the trigger.
- The range slider located at the top of the screen will allow you to adjust the scan range.
- Registered tags display the name of their linked asset.
- Unregistered tags show their raw RFID number.
- If BLE is turned on Bluetooth Tags will start to appear before trigger has been pulled. As BLE is only transmitting a signal every few seconds the order of the BLE tags might change and the closest may not appear at the top.
What you can do in the Manage Tags menu:
- See nearby tags and registered assets.
- Register new tags for assets or locations.
- Add or remove tags from existing assets or locations.
- Bulk-create assets.
- Edit asset details (e.g. name, custom fields).
Supported tag types:
- RFID
- Bluetooth
- QR code

Conduct Stocktake
Use Conduct Stocktake to run and Instant Stocktake of your assets.
- Once you have selected this menu options you will see the prompt to Scan A Location Tags To Start.
- Find your location Tag and Pull the trigger on the RFID scanner gun, once the location tag has been scanned you will see the Location name at the top of the screen.
- Any nearby registered tags will be captured as part of your Stocktake Scan.
- The range slider located at the top of the screen will allow you to adjust the scan range.
- The number of tags scanned will be displayed at the top of the screen, this will increase as the reader picks up additional tags.
- If BLE is turned on Bluetooth Tags will start to appear before trigger has been pulled. As BLE is only transmitting a signal every few seconds the order of the BLE tags might change and the closest may not appear at the top.

Check Inventory
Use Check Inventory to run an Instant Manifest Check at a location.
- Once you have selected this menu options you will see the prompt to Scan a Location Tag that has a manifest.
- To start your Inventory check, scan the location tag. For vehicles this is normally located on the inside of the drivers door.
- Manifest Checks, compare scanned items against an pre-defined list for that location.
- Manifest items successfully scanned will appear in Green.
- Manifest items not scanned (seen by the reader) but on the manifest will appear red.
- Items can be confirmed manually by swiping right (item seen) and left ( item not seen).
- Items manually seen will be displayed in green with an eye icon.
- Items manually marked as not seen will be displayed in yellow with an eye icon.
- Any extra items found are show at the top as Additional Items these items are displayed in blue (this can be disabled in Settings).
- At the top of the screen, you’ll see the total number of assets scanned. Once finished, you can save a Snapshot of your check and add notes for future reference.
- You must scan a location tag to use this function.

Create a Record
- Allows you to create an Inspection Record of an Asset.
- The Asset must be set up and flagged in the system with the appropriate Inspection form to enable an asset to have an Inspection Recorded against the asset.
- To start Creating a Record for a flagged asset, scan the tag of the Asset that you want to Inspect, this will automatically bring up the correct form to start Recording your Inspection.
- The user works their way through the form. At the end of the inspection, the user can save a draft if they were unable to complete the inspection or submit the form.
- If all mandatory fields have not been completed the form will not be able to be submitted and the app will display a “Validation Errors” message.

Search for an Asset
- View a full list of assets registered to your account.
- Use the search bar to find a specific asset.
- Once found, you can:
- Add new tags
- Edit asset details
- Delete tags
(Functions are similar to the Inspect menu.)

Search for a Location
- View a full list of registered locations.
- Use the search bar to find a specific location.
- Once found, you can:
- Add new tags
- Edit location details
(Functions are similar to the Inspect menu.)

Settings
The Settings menu gives you access to account details, user info, reader details, and app version.
Options available:
- Ignore Additional Equipment – For manifest checks, you can ignore items not listed in the inventory.
- Enable Bluetooth – If enabled, Bluetooth tags are automatically detected. Turn this off if you’re not working with Bluetooth assets to avoid clutter.
