Attaching your Manifest to a Location

How to attach a Manifest to a Location

Applying a Manifest to a Location

Assign one or more Manifests to a Location to manage what should be stored or checked there.

What is a Manifest for a Location?

A Manifest attached to a Location defines the items that should be present at that Location. This makes it easy to perform inventory checks, track stock, and ensure everything is where it belongs.

Locations can have multiple Manifests, allowing different checks for different purposes.

Example:

  • A workshop may have one Manifest for training equipment and another for maintenance tools.
  • A storage shed may have separate Manifests for spare parts and emergency kits.

Why Apply a Manifest to a Location

Using Manifests with Locations helps you:

  • Verify that all expected items are present at a site
  • Perform inventory checks quickly and accurately
  • Assign responsibility for specific items stored in different Locations
  • Combine Location and Asset-level Manifests for detailed tracking

How to Apply a Manifest

  1. In the G2G Console, navigate to the Location you want to assign a Manifest to.
  1. Click to expand the Location details.
  1. Go to Settings.
  1. Scroll to the Manifests list at the bottom of the page.
  1. Click Edit to:
      • Add new Manifests
      • Remove Manifests
      • Adjust which Manifests are active for that Location
  1. Save your changes.
Tip: Locations can have multiple Manifests, and each Manifest can be used independently during inventory checks.

Things to Know

  • Assigning a Manifest to a Location ensures all items are tracked and accounted for.
  • When performing an inventory check, the app will prompt you to select the Manifest to follow if multiple are assigned.
  • Location-level Manifests complement Asset-level Manifests for full visibility.
  • Workflows can be triggered based on Location-level Manifests, sending notifications when items are missing or added.
