System + Access Terms

Term
Meaning
G2G App
Mobile app used onsite with the RFID scanner to scan, register, and check assets.
G2G Console
The web platform where admin users log in to manage assets, locations, manifests, snapshots, asset types, and custom fields.
Account Manager
The G2G team member who provides login credentials and supports your account setup.
Forgot Password
A reset function that emails a recovery link to the registered email address.

Checks & Processes

Term
Meaning
Readiness Check / Truck Readiness Check
A scan performed on a vehicle to ensure all required gear is present and ready before deployment.
Instant StockTake
A rapid scan that instantly shows what’s physically present in a location — no manifests required.
Instant Manifest Check
A scan that compares what’s onsite against a predefined manifest, showing what’s present, missing, or manually sighted.
StockTake
A count of assets in a given location, performed using the G2G app and RFID scanner.
Snapshot
A saved scan — a time-stamped digital record of what was found, what was missing, and any manual confirmations or notes. Viewable and filterable in the G2G Console.
Manifest
A list that defines what should be in a container, room, or vehicle. Created from a snapshot and used to compare against future scans.
Assign Manifest to Location
Links a manifest to a Location Tag so future scans compare “expected vs. found.”
Digital Trail
The searchable history of readiness checks, stocktakes, and manifest checks stored in the G2G Console.

Assets & Structure

Term
Meaning
Asset / Registered Asset
An individual piece of equipment tagged and registered in the G2G system.
Asset Types Library
The structured hierarchy of categories used to organize equipment (e.g. Medical, Comms, Lighting, Rescue Tools).
Functional Areas
A higher-level grouping within the Asset Types Library (e.g., Departments, Business Units, or categories like Medical, BA, Comms).
Asset Type
A category used to group gear (e.g., Fire Blanket, Oxygen Cylinder, Spanner Set).
Custom Fields
Extra data points tied to an asset, such as serial number, expiry date, brand, service info, or inspection details.
Hierarchy
The structured position of an asset type within the Asset Types Library.
Type Name
The unique identifier of an asset type in the system.
Display Name
The name shown to users in the console and app.
Asset Fields
Details recorded at the individual asset level (e.g., serial number, expiry date).
Inherited Asset Fields
Fields automatically applied to an asset based on its parent asset type (e.g., brand, owner, zone).
Type Fields
Fixed values defined at the type level that apply to all assets of that type.
Inherited Type Fields
Type-level fields inherited from a higher-level category in the hierarchy.

Technology

Term
Meaning
RFID
Radio-Frequency Identification — uses radio waves to identify and track items via tags and readers.
Bluetooth
A short-range wireless technology for connecting devices without cables. Requires a one-time “pairing.”
Bluetooth Beacon
A small device that broadcasts a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) signal, detected by readers or scanners.
BLE
Bluetooth Low Energy — a low-power version of Bluetooth, designed for devices that send small bursts of data.
GPS
Global Positioning System — U.S. satellites that provide global location tracking.
Geofence
A virtual boundary that triggers actions when a device enters or leaves a defined area.
GLONASS
Russia’s version of GPS — a satellite system that provides global location data. Each satellite broadcasts on a unique frequency to reduce interference.
Wi-Fi
A wireless networking technology that allows devices like computers, phones, and scanners to connect to the internet or local networks without cables. Wi-Fi uses radio signals sent from a router or access point, giving users mobility within the coverage area.

Tags & Trackers

Term
Meaning
Tag
A label physically attached to an asset so it can be scanned (RFID, Bluetooth, or GPS).
Tagging Guide
Instructions for selecting and applying RFID tags to different assets.
RFID Tag / Asset Tag
An RFID label attached to an asset for scanning.
Bluetooth Tag / Beacon
A Bluetooth device assigned to an asset or location to broadcast its presence.
Location Tag / ID Tag
An RFID tag assigned to a container, room, or vehicle to set the scan context.
GPS Tag / Tracker
A device that reports its own GPS location and can be assigned to vehicles, containers, or assets.
Manta Fusion
A battery-powered GPS tracker with 6–8 years life and BLE gateway support — ideal for vehicles carrying tagged assets.
G150 GPS Tracker
A rugged wired GPS/GLONASS tracker for vehicles and equipment, with advanced features like Bluetooth, driver ID, and optional satellite fallback.

Readers

Term
Meaning
Handheld RFID Reader (Urovo)
A portable RFID “scanner gun” loaded with the G2G App allows users to scan assets and location tags. It features a trigger for scanning and a proximity mode (beeping signal + visual bar) that helps you physically locate specific items. You can also adjust the scanning range to accomodate the task.
A rugged, weatherproof GPS + BLE reader for vehicles and equipment. Provides GPS updates, backup battery, and sensor inputs for advanced monitoring.

App Functions

Term
Meaning
Inventory Scan
A function in the G2G app used to detect tagged assets in a specific location. Runs a real-time scan that can be saved as a snapshot.
Inspect
A tool for identifying untagged assets, troubleshooting failed scans, or bulk tagging gear.
Clear Scan
Resets the current scan session before it’s saved.
Submit Snapshot / Save Snapshot
Finalises a scan and logs it as a permanent, time-stamped record in the console.
Bulk Create
Create multiple new assets at once by scanning several tags and assigning them the same type.
Search / Locate
Search for an asset or location and use the handheld scanner’s proximity mode (beeping signal + green bar) to physically locate it.

Scan Status Terms

Term
Meaning
Present (Green)
Asset was automatically detected during the scan.
Missing (Red)
Asset was expected (based on the manifest) but not detected during the scan.
Manually Sighted (Green 👁️)
The scanner didn’t pick up the item, but you confirmed it was present. Swipe right to mark it.
Manually Missing (Yellow 👁️)
You confirmed the item is not present. Swipe left to mark it missing.
Additional (Blue)
Extra gear detected during the scan that isn’t listed in the manifest.

Scanning Actions

Term
Meaning
Sweep / Sweeping Motion
The slow, steady movement of the handheld scanner through bays, rooms, or vehicles to detect RFID tags.
Trigger
The button on the scanner gun that must be held down to perform a scan.
App Screen (Scan Results)
The live results display in the G2G app where assets turn Green (detected), Red (not detected), or Yellow 👁️ (manually confirmed).
Manual Confirmation / Swiping
Confirming items in the G2G app when they are physically seen: Swipe Right = Manually sighted, Swipe Left = Manually missing.

Console Navigation

Term
Meaning
Home Menu (Left-hand menu)
The main navigation panel in the G2G Console. Provides access to Assets, Snapshots, Asset Types, and Custom Fields.
Right-hand Menu
The top-right menu in the G2G Console. Includes quick-access icons for: + (Add) – Create new items, ? (Help) – Access support resources, and Profile Settings – Manage your user profile.

Assets in Console

Term
Meaning
Assets Section
The console area where all registered assets are listed and managed. Assets can be viewed by List, Type, Location, or Map.
Search & Filters
Tools to refine results in the console. Multiple filters can be combined.
Export Assets
Function to export asset lists into CSV for offline reporting.

Snapshots in Console

Term
Meaning
Snapshots Section
The console area where all saved scans are listed. Includes time of scan, location tag, and counts of assets present/missing.
Snapshot Drill-Down
Expanding a snapshot to view detailed results, including itemised asset status and manual confirmations.
Create Manifest from Snapshot
Function to generate a manifest from a saved snapshot. Can be done by: Asset Type (required categories of gear) or Asset (specific registered items).

Asset Types in Console

Term
Meaning
Asset Types Section
The console area where all asset types are managed.
Advanced Settings (Asset Types)
Settings that allow deletion of an asset type. Types with registered assets cannot be deleted until assets are moved.

Custom Fields in Console

Term
Meaning
Custom Fields Section
The console area showing all custom fields and how many assets use each one.
Unlink Custom Field
Process to remove a custom field from a type, managed via the Asset Type menu.
Advanced Settings (Custom Fields)
Settings that allow deletion of a custom field, only if no assets or types are linked.
