- Navigate to “+ New Reader”
- Select Setup a New Reader.
- Choose Reader Type
- Select Digital Matters BLE Reader.
- Select Reader Mode
- Choose from Fixed, Handheld, or Vehicle.
- For moving assets, select Vehicle.
- Name the Reader
- Use a clear, descriptive name (e.g., Manta Fusion).
- Add the last 4 digits of the serial number for easier identification.
- Note: It may take 30–60 minutes for the reader to come online while it syncs with the satellite network.
- Assign the Reader to an Asset
- Choose an existing vehicle or create a new one.
- Manifest checks are optional, but if a manifest exists for the vehicle it can be linked.
- Add the Reader to the Vehicle
- Click the Tools icon → + Assign Reader.
- Select from the list of unassigned GPS Readers.
- Check Device Status
- If the device has not yet come online, you’ll see a “Review Setup” flag. Clicking this will confirm the system is still waiting for the device to connect.
- In Map View, a reader outside of any Geofence will display as “out somewhere” but not tied to a specific location.
✅ Once the reader is online and assigned, it will continuously update asset locations in real time as the vehicle moves in and out of Geofences.
