Use the G2G app onsite to instantly confirm gear against your manifest, while giving admin users full visibility through the G2G console.
Every manifest check you run in the field creates a time-stamped record that updates instantly in the console. Crews know right away what’s present and what’s missing, and admin teams gain real-time oversight without needing to be onsite.
Follow the steps below to conduct your manifest check (or watch our demo video ):
1. Start Inventory Manifest Check
- Fire up the G2G app.
- Select the Inventory Scan function.
2. Scan your ID Tag
- Find your ID Tag (Location Tag).
- To start the Stocktake scan the RFID Location Tag.
- Upon scanning the ID Tag the G2G app will display the Manifest linked to this location.
3. Start your Equipment Stocktake
- To commence your Stocktake hold down the trigger of the Handheld scanner.
- Walking slowly in a sweeping motion move the scanner through the space.
- The Beeps indicate that the tags are being read successfully.
3. Watch the Live Screen
- As the scanner picks up assets in your manifest you will see the status turn from red to green.
- Assets will turn green when they have been successfully detected.
- If an Asset is still red it indicates that the system has not see it yet.
4. Manually Confirm Items
- The app allows you to manually confirm items.
- Swiped right = manually sighted, resulting in Item shown in green with 👁️
- Swiped left = manually sighted missing, resulting in Item show in yellow with 👁️
5. Record any notes on the Stocktake and Save
- To record a snapshot of your stocktake click Save.
- You can make add a note to your stocktake prior to Saving.
- The system records the stocktake with a full breakdown of what was:
- Found
- Manually seen
- Missing
- Manually missing
- The location and time
- Message entered from the user.

- Always scan the container/room ID Tag first.
- Hold the trigger down continuously while sweeping.
- Move slowly and carefully — accuracy matters more than speed.
- Only swipe to manually confirm items you’ve physically seen.
- Regularly review and update manifests to reflect real-world setups.
The Payoff
Running an Instant Manifest Check onsite does more than confirm gear against a list:
- For crews → It’s a quick, accurate way to see what’s there and what’s missing.
- For admin users → It leaves a searchable digital record in the G2G console, accessible anytime to track past manifest checks.
That’s how G2G bridges the gap between ground truth and admin oversight — ensuring everyone sees the same picture, instantly.
