How to Guide: Run an Instant Manifest Check

Steps to running an Instant Manifest Check to find out whats there and whats missing.

Follow the steps below to conduct your Stocktake or watch our demo video

1. Start Inventory Manifest Check

  • Fire up the G2G app.
  • Select the Inventory Scan function.

2. Scan your ID Tag

  • Find your ID Tag (Location Tag).
  • To start the Stocktake scan the RFID Location Tag.
  • Upon scanning the ID Tag the G2G app will display the Manifest linked to this location.

3. Start your Equipment Stocktake

  • To commence your Stocktake hold down the trigger of the Handheld scanner.
  • Walking slowly in a sweeping motion move the scanner through the space.
  • The Beeps indicate that the tags are being read successfully.

3. Watch the Live Screen

  • As the scanner picks up assets in your manifest you will see the status turn from red to green.
  • Assets will turn green when they have been successfully detected.
  • If an Asset is still red it indicates that the system has not see it yet.

4. Manually Confirm Items

  • The app allows you to manually confirm items.
  • Swiped right = manually sighted, resulting in Item shown in green with 👁️
  • Swiped left = manually sighted missing, resulting in Item show in yellow with 👁️

5. Record any notes on the Stocktake and Save

  • To record a snapshot of your stocktake click Save.
  • You can make add a note to your stocktake prior to Saving.
  • The system records the stocktake with a full breakdown of what was:
    • Found
    • Manually seen
    • Missing
    • Manually missing
    • The location and time
    • Message entered from the user.

Operator Tips

  • Your ID Tag (Location Tag) must be linked to a manifest before you can start a regular Stocktake.
  • Always scan the container/room ID Tag first.
  • Hold the trigger down the entire time you’re sweeping.
  • Move slowly and steadily — don’t rush the scan.
  • Swipe responsibly — only use manual confirmation when the item is physically seen.
  • Review manifests often to match real-world setups.
