G2G On-Metal tags
RFID tags use a thin metal antenna that is easily interrupted by metal. To successfully tag equipment where the best or only available surfaces are metal you’ll need to use insulated RFID tags.

To tag equipment that suitable surfaces available that are made of plastic, wood, fibreglass or other non-metal materials, you can use non insulated tags like these:
